| The Basics Name: Youou Kurogane Suwa Series/Fandom: Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles Original or Alternate: Alternate Home: Kale (Hometown: New Haven Job: Age: His Look: Tall (well over 6 feet), strong with a lean build, tan, black spiky hair, red eyes, scowls at everything, carries an air of authority though you wouldn’t think him on the side of the law, scar on his left hand (back and palm) from a knife. Usually wears black boots, dark pants, long black coat, white button-up dress shirt, and your standard black cowboy hat. His Horse: Caballo (CAW-BAI-YO), a steel grey stallion, over 17 hands, 10 years old. Looks like a cross between an Arabian and a, oh, lets say a Percheron Temperament Kurogane is a loner. When he has to deal with people he doesn’t go out of his way to be polite or put them at ease. His actions and speech is conservative and dislikes pointless things, people, and talking. Kurogane is very good at reading people, seeing if they are a fighter, and can also spot a lie. His pride makes him easily embarrassed, which results in him losing his violent temper. He will gladly hurt those who get in his way. He takes orders poorly but will follow them if he sees the reason or they are from those he is loyal to. All in all he has no respect for authority, only for a few choice people. He is extremely loyal and protective to those he cares for. History For the early part of his life, consumption was slowly eating away at his mother and Kurogane’s main job was to help her round the house. His father worked as sheriff of the town but became indebted to a few unsavory businessmen in order to be able to pay for his wife’s medicine. When Kurogane was 15 year old his father wasn’t able to pay any of the debts off, a man came and killed his father. His mother ran to help her husband only to be shot also. The hit man foolishly decided not to kill the stunned teen, instead grabbing Kurogane’s left hand and stabbing it through with a knife to pin it to a house post. The man told him to keep the knife and started to walk off. Ripping the knife out of his hand, the boy returned the knife to the man. He was Kurogane’s first kill and he never learned who hired that man. Kurogane made it to his mother’s side in time to hear her last wish, “No needless killing.” That night left him with no family, a scar and no feeling in his left hand, his father’s debt, and the desire never to owe anyone anything again. He sold his family’s house, land, and most of their possessions in order to pay off the debt his father still owed. Though he kept his father’s guns and silver pocket watch. Kurogane started working at the tavern, using his time to watch people, learning how they moved and reacted. He continued to train with his father’s twin pistols, though he prefers a fistfight. At 17 he decided to follow his father and become a lawman. Kurogane quickly found a place as a bounty hunter and has so far lasted 8 years at it. He is considered an odd law enforcer, any who see him in a fight can see the pure blood lust but he always seems to stop himself just short of killing someone. His way of enforcing the law is rather ‘hands on’, as in he jumps into a bar fight to break it up and extreme force isn’t a problem to him. Even if his sworn to protect his town, Kurogane can’t help but be bored doing so at times. He hardly ever finds someone who can challenge him. His Things - A black coat (got a new one from - Black hat - Silver pocket watch - Pair of six-shooters, silver with ivory handles. They were his father's. - Two knives. One hidden in his right boot, the other shifts around from pocket to belt to lost in one of his saddlebags - Handcuffs and key - Rope - Food, canteen of water, other necessary things for living - A book, title and kind varies whenever he finds a new one - Shirt button of Fay's on one of his shirts - Money. Enough to buy a small house. |
